You hate me,

Even if you don't know it,

You are afraid,

Even if you don't see it.
You don't know me,

Though you think you do,

You've hardly seen the real me,

And at those times, you avoid me.
That boy in the corner,

The one dressed in all black,

The ring through his lip,

Standing alone…
You are afraid,

As we walk past,

You huddle close to me,

And I can see him snickering.
You hate him,

And you fear him,

Don't you know,

That I am just like him?
Just because I can hide it,

Doesn't mean it's not there,

Just because you don't see it,

Doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
There are people you don't know about,

Friends that know who I really am,

And when I am with them,

I become the person you despise.
When I am with them,

I hate the people like you,

The happy, the ignorant,

Who think they are so much better.
So why is it,

When I despise them with all I am,

My anger seems to fade away,

When I am with you.
I love you as friends,

But when I see someone just like you,

I can feel my blood begin to boil,

Even though they aren't any different.
In a way, I do hate you,

I hate that you hate me,

Yet at the same time, you love me,
