Nine One One, Oh One

Little boy, an orphaned son
His mother worked, in tower one.
Baby girl, her crying eyes are blue
Her daddy worked in tower two
Widowed woman, her husband gone
He worked at the Pentagon
Lonely man, his wife has gone to heaven
She was on flight number eleven
America cried nine-one-one!
The terrorists had done what they had done
Making our buildings tumble
We try hard not to stumble
On the hearts that crumbled
As thousands of lives where shattered
We will not be defeated this day
We are united in every way!
Yet as the tears are pouring
I find this all bewildering
For I have never been in a war
Before
