The sky was grey, at least it wasn't raining but the wind was not gentle. It was a howling gale. Instead of grass the hill was mud, thick mud. All the grass had died three years ago. When Mary and Mike got to flat ground they decided to stay there the night.
Mary had a dream that night, once again she saw Silver Wing, this time it was looking at her, it flew of. The sky went a clear blue, no clouds in sight. The sun shone onto the land, grass sprouted and flowers bloomed. Silver Wing flew up, blocking out the sun, creating a shadow of its self onto the land.
Mary awoke suddenly, sweating. Her instincts were telling her that something was wrong but all seamed fine. Mary looked over to Mike but he was gone. She jumped up quickly, calling out for Mike. He's probably gone for a walk, she thought to herself, but in the middle of the night, strange. But she realises that he has gone to find the Silver Star on his own.
Mary packs her stuff away and heads up the hill once again. Getting near the top she spots a cave. She sees Mike come out. He holds up the Silver Star, Mary gasps. He sends a blast of fire at Mary from the Silver Star but she dodges it. He sends several down the hill towards the village but Silver Wing come and blocks the attack. "You shall no be aloud to do this." Its voice is heard throughout the valley. "You shall not stop me," was Mike's reply. Within Mike is a struggle, the greed against him. The greed was clearly winning. But just as it was about to take full control Mike quickly kills himself.
Mary remembers when she had to face her best friend Lou brainwashed and turned evil by the Marxists. It was a long and hard fight, several times it looked like she would lose but each time she fought back. In the end she won and saved Lou.
"Mary," Silver Wing said. "The Silver Star is yours to take." "But if I take it won't I become mad with greed and you will die." "No, as long as some one pure of heart has the Silver Star then they will not become mad and I will not die. You are the Silver Stars new guardian, protect it"
