Complete Me
Author:
Matthew James Current PM
Gah! It feels so decidedly odd writing love poems. I just hope this one is decent. It's got a lot of feeling but I don't know if you all will like it. Hope you are doing well!

Heart beats resonate
Flood away the hate
In these soft waves of your love

Cast away all the shame
Spit on the lies and tame
The raging fires within
As I learn to forget my sin

A blanket, a bastion, a cure
And something so much more pure
Unashamed, unabashed, free
This commingling of you and me

Heart beats resonate
Flood away the hate
In these soft waves of your love

Intensity redefined
New age freedom in my mind
This whole world is burnt away
When you are in my arms to stay

Linger here and help me be
All I want is for you to see
How beautiful you are to me

Wrap your soul around me like a blanket
Soak in all the love, all the warmth
Revive all that's dead inside me
Make me live again

Complete me by sharing that piece of me I gave to you
And I will share the piece of you that I took away
So we can be complete again
