“An Untitled Piece of Eternal Love”

(Excerpt:)

“If I were to tell her, I’m afraid that she’ll never talk to me again, which makes it worse, or, I could just keep it to myself, and hide all these pain in my heart…What should I do…How should I start…”

Foreword

This piece is a compilation of diary entries I made day-by-day, telling stories of my confusing love life intertwined by a series of events and a particular group of people. The story was written in a symbolic way, meaning, everything that is told in the tale is based from a real story, just exaggerated and spiced up. Different chapters will have different sub-titles, depending upon the essence of the part. The story is still continuous until present.

I wish every reader a wonderful and enjoyed time of reading, as much as I enjoyed writing it.

So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the exciting ride of love eternal….

Enjoy…

CHAPTER 7

“Here’s the plan…”

The sun shone brightly and the water lilies danced gracefully with the blow of the gentle wind sailing through the Imperial Garden, where the cherry blossoms bloomed, seemingly awaiting their beloved prince. The cherry blossoms sat on the trees for quite awhile before the doors of Liu Guang’s chambers opened. Standing before the patient blooms was someone they can not recognize, though it was their prince, they knew he wasn’t… There was something in his eyes, something so evil that the flowers and the mighty sun showed complete fear as they made out what had become of the prince they once knew…

As routine, he went to the majestic Jade room to join his father for the day’s Zao Can (early/first meal). Dishes of truly wide varieties of colors, smells and tastes welcomed his arrival with maidservants and menservants attending to him. His Die (father, the Emepror) was being personally attended to by a dozen of his father’s 2nd stage concubines, leaving the favorite concubines (or the empresses-to-be’s) at their own chambers attended to by their own maidservants. Seeing the eunuchs run back and forth the Dining Hall and the Head Eunuch three Mi’s away from the Emperor, eating the first bites of the dishes served to Him for fear of any attempt to poison the Emperor and wreck havoc in the kingdom, were all the daily sights in the Jade room.

As he was sitting five Mi’s (A unit of measure used in the Imperial Palace during the ancient times when sitting with the Emperor) to the left of his Die and three Mi’s to the right of his Niang (mother, the Empress, the first wife of his Die), he started a quite peculiar conversation...

Niang, Die, wo you ge shi xiang yao qiu nin… (Mother, Father, I have something to ask of you…)’, he started.

You shi shen me shi ah? (What thing?)’, the Empress asked in an interested voice.

Dui ah, hai shi hen zao yi jing xiang yao shen me dong xi le… Gao su wo, shi shen me dong xi ah? (Yes, it’s quite early in the morning and you already have something to ask… What is it now?)’, the Emperor asked playfully, for he knows his son very well, and he knows that his son is up to something.

Gan ma zen yang wen wo de? (Why are you asking me that way)’, Liu Guang replied in a questioning manner.

Wo zhi shi zai wen er yi, wei shen me, gao su wo, ni dao di yao shen me? (I’m just asking, why, tell me, what do you really want to ask us for?)’, the Emperor laughingly replied.

Hao le, hao le, wo gao su nin, wo xiang yao yi zhi jian… (Alright, alright, I’ll tell you, I would want to have a new sword forged for me…)’, Liu Guang replied rather seriously.

Er zi, gao su wo, zhe zhi jian shi yao zai na’r yong ne? (Son, tell me, and where will this sword be used?)’, the Empress replied, now effortlessly reaching for the Peach Blossom Cakes with Almond Syrup drizzled generously on top, a dish specially made for her.

Zai ge jiu can… (In a drinking party…)’, Liu Guang replied as he finished his Long Zhu (Dragon Balls) and excused himself from his Die and Niang, leaving the Jade room with an intriguing smile widening with each step towards his chambers…thinking to himself, ‘Ye dang jiu… (Tonight will be a long night…)’

What devious plans is Liu Guang planning…?

What will happen tonight…?

We will know…
