Took forever to build the barriers.
Strong, they withheld the others.
The players, the pimps, the smooth-talkers...
It held.
But you, you came a long.
Still I'm building on with stronger reinforcements
It was easy to see how strong you are.
But 're there.
I refused to let you break through to the core.
You didn't even try...
With one finger knocked down all the hard work.
And you took it from me.
Everything I tried to guard.
Stole it from right under my nose.
I just stood there dumbfounded.
May I have my heart back please?

I let myself love you,
And you returned the favor.
Seized my heart and the barriers.
Nothing to show for the effort.
Just a vacant cavity in the center of my body.
Fooled, I thought I could thieve it back if I left you.
But you still have it.
Tried to prove to myself otherwise.
Grasped reality.
Keep my heart. You need it more than me.
Just let me put up some barriers,
To deceive the others that I am still in control.
Of myself.
Of my heart.
Of everything that I believe in.
Now look within yourself.
Were you conscious of the emptiness?
I've got your heart, too.
Let me fill the space.
