Slipping.
My hands aching from supporting the weight.
Hands cramped around the ledge.
Holding onto life,
The memories.
Believing that proving my perseverance
Will make you catch me...
Or bring me back up the cliff.
And back to who we were before.

So afraid of falling
Without you there to break the fall.
To a possible death or to a new life.
Where you do not reside.
Where there is nothing between you and I.
Where hope dies and know thrives.
Clenching to a dream.
Because reality is too sharp and bloody.
