Maybe I'm not perfect;
Maybe you think I'm just
dreaming of fairytales.
Maybe I don't know how
things are gonna be---
But shouldn't I hope?
Shouldn't I dream?
Don't you dream, too?

I want to live in a fairytale;
I want to go where
I've never been before.
I want to live my life to the fullest,
Don't want to worry
About what tomorrow may bring.
I want to be free
To have my dreams and chase them---
To keep my heart alive.

But what is a fairytale;
What makes it so unreal?
What is it about these dreams
That gives them such appeal?
And if you bring your dreams to life,
Is it really a fairytale--
Or is reality more of a lie
Than you already thought it was?

I want to live in a fairytale;
I want to go where
I've never been before.
I want to live my life to the fullest,
Don't want to worry
About what tomorrow may bring.
I want to be free
To have my dreams and chase them---
To keep my heart alive.
