I’m thinking about it now

What if it all was a mistake

Where is all the pride I talk about

Never thought I’d give you another chance.

But if it works out my way

There’s still our big net of lies

And I don’t think we’re brave enough to say

To each other what we hide.

I don’t think in front of you

There looking into your deep black eyes

Hearing you talking, laughing me and you,

Remembering bitter sweetly our bad times,

I will be able to blame you for anything,

Or tell you my thoughts as they’ve been;

I don’t either think you will,

There’s so many things stuck between you and me.

I’m sure you’re as surprised as I am

I wasn’t thinking when I got the cell in my hand,

And I wrote my forgiving words so calm,

And thought seeing you wouldn’t bring any harm.

But I promise now I won’t let

Your tears make me feel I was wrong

Because it’s me who has something to expect

And this can’t go on and on.

Beware what you do, what you say

If it’s not the truth I will forever run away

Though it seems, this is not the easy way

Just don’t hurt me never again.
