Suggestive Innocence

Makeup hides the unseen truth

A stranger under it all

Showing only perfect youth

Building a comforting wall

Feelings burning deep within

Yet a smile shows

Inside she’s fierce and full of sin

Parents will never know

[Chorus]

Perfect child

Perfect life

Not always what it seems

Never doing wrong

But lying all along

She’s not a perfect teen

Tattoos hidden under pink lace

Piercing covered up

They only see her pretty face

Camouflaged by luck

They see her as the ideal child

Straight A’s in every class

But after hours her soul turns wild

From the liquid in her glass

[Chorus]

Lies and stories tell them she’s good

Believing every word

She’s done what any nice girl should

And hasn’t caused them hurt

[Chorus]

Deep down she loves the suspense

Seeing if they’ll spy

It’s only suggestive innocence

What’s another white lie?
