Gray by: TAS
Gray, a color not as secret as the blackness of night
Yet not as revealing as the purest white
The color that is what I choose to be to some degree
The color that so often surrounds me
I think that we all choose to be gray
Each in our own different shades and in our own ways
But in the end you will find few midnight black
And even less pure white cause just about all people hold back
For we all are white to start but after we've be burned
Very few back to white dare ever return
Some turn black as a moonless midnight
Some decide being happy is not worth the pain and fight
I for one like to be a lighter gray
But sometimes life pushes me the other way
It makes you dark by memories that somehow seem to last
Telling you in the future you are only to relive your horrid past
The fears they can darken you
If you give them any ground you allow them too
I'm going to try to be a light gray let you a little into me see
But that is now how knows what life may throw at me
