In every heart
There is a child's song.
Can you hear the
Quiet tune?

In every eye
There is a child's cry.
Can you hear
The sadness bloom?

Behind You!
I saw your shadow die!
The lights still on,
But we are blind.

Refrain:
And that's growing up,
Just feeling down.
People's hatred,
Crowds around me,
These new emotions
Just might drown me.
Tears are new
Smiles too.

Far away
And long ago
There was a tree
I would hide on.

I hid away
From the world
Upon the bough
I left my soul.

Above you!
I watched the fairies die!
Name were lost
But no one knew.

Refrain:
And that's growing up
Just feeling down.
People's hatred,
Crowds around me,
Theses new emotions
Just might drown me.
Tears are new.
Smiles too.

In a jar
We keep our dreams
Out of reach
So no one sees.

They would laugh,
At you and me,
If they saw
Our secret dreams.

Around you!
I saw the magic die!
They don't believe
So why should I?
Refrain:
And that's growing up,
Just feeling down.
People's hatred,
Crowds around me.
These new emotions
Just might drown me.
Tears are new
Smiles too.

Who am I?
Just a name?
Another muse on the stage.
Can you hear
the quiet tune?
