Beauty full
Breathing deep
Then slowly shallow,
And tickled throats
That try to giggle
As children's memories lie awake
With a pair of eyes too young to leak.
It is the path of dreams they seek.
The leaves are twirling in the wind
And night will soon be dropping by
The moon is present
Whilst the stars are yet too shy.
I tried to count them all one night
Those countless little dotted lights.
I sat and watched them
In their mirror
My gentle friend that is
The river.
