The winds not blowing
And the clouds aren't moving
But still this moment won't last
Sitting on this roof top
The darkness will come to pass
The cigarette between my fingers
Slowly smokes itself to the filter
Because I can't hold onto time
More lights awake along the coastline
And my phone interrupts again
I find sometimes putting it on silent
Is the only way to live
The colors melt together
Because darkness blurs the lines
And I will always remember this moment
because it reminds me I'm alive
