"Hopeless, Hapless"

Someone once told me,

To change the world is not that hard.

Just believe in yourself,

And you will go far.

But now I can't find the truth,

From the lies.

And this feeling grows stronger,

As time passes by.

I feel as if I grow colder,

As the world around me grows older.

I think I must be failing,

And hopelessly flailing.

Please could you help me?

I need help to see,

The truth and beauty in the world around,

And only then may my soul be found.
