"God!! I'm going to be late!" I shouted the next morning when I woke up. I was horrified when I saw the time. I dashed into the bathroom, took a quick shower, wore my uniform and dashed down the stairs.
"Morning, Lady Kit," Mr. Norm greeted me as I dashed past him.
"Morning, Morris!" I shouted back as I walked into the kitchen and grabbed my breaksfast. Well, bread for more precise.
"Goodmorning, Miss Kit. Please have a seat and enjoy your breaksfast," Mrs. Norm told me.
"Sorry, May," I apologized to her, "I will enjoy your breaksfast tomorrow. Not for today. I will be late if I do so."
"You wouldn't alright," My brother replied. I looked over at him as he sipped his coffee while reading the newspaper. Sister-in-law was giggling under her breathe. Even May and Morris were giggling under their breath.
"What did you do?" I questioned my brother.
"I just made your clock faster by half an hour, if that's what you want to hear," He smirked.
"You what?!" I shouted.
"He knew you might be late for school so he made the clock faster by half an hour," Sister-in-law replied.
"I know," I smiled as I sat down opposite of him and kicked him hard at his knee under the table. He let out a soft 'Ouch' and stared at me. May gave me a cup of coffee while sister-in-law stared at me.
"What is it? Is there something on my face?" I asked.
"No," She replied, "It's just that there is something different of you today."
"Really?" I asked. I changed?
"So I wasn't the only one who thinks Lady Kit had changed," Morris replied.
"Now that Mistress mention it, Miss Kit did feel different today," May replied as she stood beside me.
"She smiled a little too much today," My brother answered their questions as well as mine. Yes. I was smiling a lot today. Why?
"What did that guy do to you?" my brother asked.
"Murphy, don't be so harsh on Kit will you?" She calmed my brother down.
"I don't want my sister to get hurt again alright?" My brother made a face.
"Rex wouldn't," I told him, "And I will never be that girl in the past again. For now, I will be the happiest girl around. Anyway, I'm done with the breaksfast."
"That's fast," May replied.
"Your cooking is always the delicious," I smiled, "I'm going to school now."
"Be careful," They told me as I skipped my way out of the house and ran down the road towards my school.
Upon reaching the school, I saw a whole group of students gathering at the news notice board. I walked over and saw the news on Mick on the board. I smiled. Rex had done the job for me.
"Kit Sherlock!" Lisa's voice sounded behind me as I spin around to face her. "How dare you!"
"What did I do to make Lisa so angry?" I asked sarcastically.
"You are such a." Before she could complete her sentence, my hand had made an impact on her face. She stared at me with her eyes wide open.
"I will give you a warning, Lisa," I started, "I'm trying to help you girls here. If you don't appreciate then leave it."
"You will get it, Kit!" Lisa shouted as she ran off. Everyone was staring at me as I sighed and shook my head. That girl sure is helpless.
"You just make the top news, Kit. Slapping the 2nd best girl in the whole school," Rex's voice sounded from the back.
"Morning, Rex," I smiled as I turned to face him.
"Morning, Kit," he replied as he leaned down and kissed me by my lips. A quick one.
"Now you are drawing attention," I smirked at him.
"You really said it," he smiled, "Should we go?"
"Sure," I replied, as he held my hand and pulled me along with him, "So, how did the night go for you?"
"Lonely," He replied, "Guess I need something to make my life meaningful."
"You already have one," I told him.
"Are you sure?" Rex asked as he looked at her.
"But you should know what I want," I told him.
"You are so damn sure about it?" Rex asked.
"Y-E-S. Yes," I replied.
"God... This is going to be the top news of the school for this year," Rex replied.
"Rex!" I shouted in annoy, but soon smiled at his annoy.
Even though love is really not the game for me, for it is painful within, but indeed it is beautiful for there is someone who love me and I love too.
