I didn't imagine, you'd be this way
Scrutinizing everyhting, I do or say
When I first met you, I couldn't have known
You wouldn't leave me a second to ever be alone
I can't believe that if another should catch my eye
You're on my back, with that old attack, always asking why
Guess it's come to this, even though I cared so
When you've got a love like this, it's time to let it go

It's over, it's over,
This concludes our broadcast
I don't know how,
Or why you thought it would last
It's over, it's over
Part 10 of 10
Need I remind you again?
It's over.

Why did you think, I'd fall for such a lie?
I say no, and you say, just let me try
You'd back off for a while while I believe you
And then soon you'd go back to what you used to do
Don't think I'll give in to everything you say
If I hung on, I'd be dead wrong, to lean your way
Guess I've gotten older, and I've grown beyond my years
Guess I don't need your shoulder, I've got a hankie for my tears

It's over, it's over,
This concludes our broadcast
I don't know how,
Or why you thought it would last
It's over, it's over
Part 10 of 10
Need I remind you again?
It's over.
