Descending into a dark, hollow room
Shadows leaping from edge to edge
Twisting and fearing
Searching out the unseen.
Terror engulfing and blinding me.

A shadow upon the wall
Another scream
Under dark, cloudy day inside of me.
Darkness, madness all around
My body and soul hit the dark, cold ground.

A river of blood, a sea of pain
So much in this world seems in vain.
Nothing left to do but cry and weep
Until I awaken from my maddened sleep.
