A single voice
Amidst the rolling silence
Following a desolate path
The only question,
“Will she last?”
On her voyage to peace,
Salvation.
The lonely wind arrives
Playing with her hair
The birds will cry
Losing all that is fair
While one is on her way
To bring about truth
A single soul
Who cares.
Shadowed ones
They’ve come to fear
This advocate of justice
When she comes near
They shrink away
In a silent crevice
Cowering in there,
Darkness.
They throw stones
As she comes to pass
Indirect hits
In contrast to attacks
Launched on the weak
Not direct abuse
To torture the meek
No, they stay away.
She’s untouchable.
And as for the others
Who bask in the light
They look up to her
Taking delight
In her sweet sympathy
Watching her fight
Until they finally see
Whispering in shock
‘Could it really truly be?
Is she out there right now
Fighting for me?’
But still far away
That’s where they stay
Afraid to get close
To one who wields power
Watching intently
Updates by the hour
By they won’t approach
To give their thanks
She’s intimidating…
Untouchable.
A/N: This has been written for one of the people that I look up to a lot because she truly is ‘untouchable’. She’s movie star gorgeous, and all around amazing. People are jealous, and to others she’s just “too good”.
Sometimes I feel like I can totally relate because some people are surprised I’m not as stuck up as they thought and I stand up for what I believe in. So this is just exaggerated a bit. This is Pt. I out of I don’t know how many, but there will be more.
This was written listening to Yuki Kajiura’s “Fake Wings” song. It’s *beautiful*!
