Don’t let me fall into the darkness of my soul.
Don’t let me fall into the darkness…

The cliff is steep; the fall is far.
Enough to leave a staying scar.
Upon a heart that can be scarred no more.

Suspended from a narrow thread
Above the spirits of the dead.
My tired hands will surely let me fall.

And there you are, my final fight,
Gazing from within the light.
What do you see as you look down at me?

Do you see hope within despair?
Clear vision though polluted air?
Do you think there’s still time to pull me up?

The thread will sever very soon.
I’ll disappear into the swoon
Of this eternal darkness in my soul.

And you’ll still be there looking down,
Without a smile or a frown.
Perhaps not knowing how long I’ve been gone…

Don’t let me fall,
Don’t let me fall…

Save me, save me…

Goodbye…
