Friends & Lovers

- We're gonna be late.

- Calm down, Evan! It seems you never been up in that stage! GOD!!

- Ok.

- Ricky, Evan! - a feminine voice echoed in the building.

A blonde girl enter the room where the two boys were dressing.

- What are you doing?! You should have been ready five minutes ago! Evan! Up the Stage! Rick! I want you with the public! - she shouted. Finally, between a bad look and a sneer the blonde left the dressing room.

- Sometimes Kat just goes a little beyond the point. - said Evan, the guy with short blond hair sometimes a weird sense of humour, and his dreamy blue-green eyes.

- But she finally shut you up, Evan, and that's a deed! I was going crazy any moment now! - said the oxygenated blond. Ricky laugh and run for the door just in time to escape a chair and a few books launched in his direction.

Rick came to a stop in front of Kat and another girl. The blonde was giving some instructions for that night show and being her usually queen of the stage.

- My saviour!! - scream the blond boy embracing Kat and smiling sweetly at her. She raise a eyebrow and tried to detached herself.

- What do you want??

- Don't you see? He wants to marry you! - laugh Pierre, another one of the animators of hotel Bahamas. The brunette was brought to the floor by Kat while she strangulate him.

- OH!! Can I play too?? - asked Evan when came to that same corner of the corridor.

They all look at him and start laughing when he gave them a silly look. Another two join the group behind the stage.

- Hey guys!

- Hey Patrick! Hey Liz! - called Evan approaching them.

- How about we escape this place and go join the disco next door?

Patrick, a pretty blond boy with hazel-green eyes, smile and pointed to behind him.

- Oh!.. Hum.. you can come too, Kat… if you really want.

- Evan! Up in the stage with Pierre!

The blond smirk and run to where the other animator was. Kat signed and look at Liz and Patrick that were in the same spot as before.

- I don't know why I put up with him. - she confessed looking over ate the stage where Evan and Pierre were representing some sort of british comedy.

- Because you know he's the best.. - explain Patrick smiling. - Can I take my position with the music?

- In a few minutes. Just make sure that Evan or Rick don't spend much time taking extra time out there. - she grab Liz hand and the two girls continued down the hall.

Patrick sighed and walked to the space where he was to be the rest of the night.

- Hey, Sam! - he called when he enter.

- Huh? Oh, Patrick, hi! I didn't see you, I was entertaining myself, with Evan falling off a chair while dancing and, Pierre grabbing a few little girls and being almost shoot down by their mothers, thinking they were being kidnapped.

- Wow! That happened all in 5 minutes?

The dark haired girl smile. - Yep! I could tell you also when Ricky was ready to run to the stage to kiss Evan hand for our blond don't cry but I don't think you're interested in that! - she laughed and give her seat to Patrick. - Put something techno. Marie was saying some time ago that today we are full of young people.

Patrick pick one cd from his special place and put it in the stereo. In a few second Ultrabeat was playing in all the hotel. He signed and look dreamy at the stage.

Today was the Halloween show. And between vampires, zombies, phantoms and things of that kind, the Bahamas animators were all in the stage dancing and representing a scene of "Scary Movie". Rick stop in the middle of the group and look at Evan. The two smile at one another and then look at the public.

The sound of people clapping and screaming fill that night.

- That was SOME night! - Evan let himself fall to the couch.

- Without a doubt! - Ricky smile at Evan and was going to say something when Pierre and Patrick enter the room.

- Tell you one thing guys! I'm so glad there's only one Halloween for year! - Pierre seat himself on the floor in front of the couch looking at Rick that was leaning on the wall.

- I liked to act.. finally. - confessed Patrick seating on the end of the couch lifting Evan's feet and putting them on his legs. Rick look at the two boys for a minute.

- Yes.. but you only say that because you act once a week not every day like Rick or Pierre! - said Evan smiling at his friend. - Not that I do much less then them.. And you have to admit that you're much more of a DJ then a actor and dancer, Patrick.

The little blond looked down to the floors playing with Evan's reef shoes.

- Hey... - Evan tried.

- Hum.. sorry I forget something in my room.. - Patrick just stand up and left the room leaving only silence behind.

- Nice going, Evan! - Pierre glare at the blond.

- What?! Was I lying?! I didn't want to hurt him but it's the true! - explain Evan feeling sorry for Patrick but really didn't want to give the hand up to the other.

- He is right Pierre. Patrick is the DJ guy what more can he want?? - said Rick seating himself on Patrick previous place.

- Hey, did you notice something weird with Patrick today? Something's wrong with him! - Kat stop what she was doing when Samantha asked the question.

A brunette enter the room in just a towel. Kat began to dress thinking about what Sam had asked but still don't wanting to say something that was just a silly suspicion of her.

- I notice. - answer Kat. - But I thought that maybe that was just his way to show stage fright or something.

- Pierre was trying to speak with him and he was almost kick in the butt. And that it's something weird! Patrick never let himself be angry like that! - Samantha look at the other person in the room. - You didn't notice, Liz?

- Hum.. sure… he was weird.. - the brunette look at the mirror while doing her make-up completely away from the looks Kat and Sam were giving her.

Pierre enter the empty room and seat himself on a chair close to the window. During some time he was just still and quiet looking out there. The door opened and Liz came closed to him.

- Are you okay?

- Don't you know already what happened? I'm not ok! It's impossible to be OKAY!!

- Pierre…

- What?

- Maybe you should just give him sometime.

- What?? I don't know what you're talking about..

- Of course not, if you did understand we wouldn't be having this conversation.

- Just shut up Liz, you don't know what you talking about.

- Maybe not, but I know what is to lose someone, and you think that you're losing a friend and you're not, Patrick just need to clear his mind.

- Sure. - Pierre stand and without another word left the room.

Liz sigh and look out of the window, thinking that nothing she do or say could really change Pierre mind, especially if the problem was Patrick and Evan.

Patrick was sitting alone in the stage just looking at the night sky, not seeing star as there was just one or two bright enough to be seeing from there, but thinking about his life and all that had changed in the last few years.

- Are you wishing on a star?

The little blond didn't have to turn to know who's that voice belong to. He just continued looking at the sky completely indifferent to the other.

- Are you mad at me, Patrick? - not a word.

- Patrick... please talk to me..

- I liked when you called me Rick.

- Oh.. hum… What do you mean?

- Back then you normally would be with me, we were best friends, right?

- We are best friends, Patrick. I would never forget that, that friendship.

Patrick just turn and smile to Evan. - I know, but sometimes it's like you just don't notice me anymore. - Evan look at the floor, something that now was really interesting.

- I... - Patrick sigh and looked away from the other blond. He whispered really low. - I really miss you. Not like a known person to me, but like a best friend, someone that had always be there. Maybe I had taken your friendship for granted, but I had never thought that I would lose you.

- Stop right there! You didn't lose me! Never, you hear me!

Patrick look at Evan for some seconds and look away some time later.

The older blond stand up and sit by Patrick. He touch Patrick's chin to make him look at his face. He approach some inches, just quiet staring at his friend.

- What do I have to do to show you that? I really would do anything just to not see you hurt, especially because of me.

- I don't think you understand, Evan.

- What? What do you mean?!

Patrick touch the hand that was still in his face and move it away.

- There is something that I never told you, and... I think is time. Sorry if I'm gonna hurt you or if you're just gonna be mad at me.. but I have to tell you, before it's to late. Evan I....

- What? Tell me!

- I'm in love with you.

- You... what... you what??!

Patrick stood up and begin to walk to the stairs, his arm was capture by Evan's hand. Sad he look at his friend, expecting to see disgust and hate in that clear blue eyes. Evan look at him, and in his green-bluish eyes was something that he never saw...

- Evan.. what?

Patrick was shocked to say the least when Evan's lips were sealed in his. But he let the feeling of being kissed for the first time by the one he loved took all the confusion away. He had always had a crush in Evan, and in time that turn into something much more solid.

In a few minutes they were laying in the stage and touching in a hot loving way, completely forgetting where they were and what they were.

The two boys lost in their own feeling never really see their friends approached them. Someone cough and that was enough for them to step apart from each other..

- Guys.. can you explain this to us? - asked Liz really surprised and confused.

Kat walked to them and stare at them. Patrick look at Liz. He them look at Sam and then at Rick. The two look at each other for a moment till Evan voice echoed in the place.

- We can... explain.

- Then explain! - scream Samantha, eyes wide looking between the two of them.

Liz for some reason looked at Rick and became sad to not see him there.

- WE were kissing. - said Evan with a smile at Patrick and a glare to the rest of the groups threaten them to say something more. Patrick just blushed and look away.

He was thinking in just grab Evan's hand and run away.

- We are dating, some problem with that? - asked Patrick looking at Sam, Kat and Liz.

Really excepting someone to say something he was confused when he didn’t receive not a answer, but not even a whisper was heard.

- What? Nothing to say?

- No, not really. - said Pierre smiling at Patrick gently.

- Ok.. - Evan look at the girls that were still looking at them.

- I don't have nothing to say.. - Sam just left the stage to enter the DJ room to turn of the music that was still on.

- I.. I don't know what to say... just be happy, okay? - Kat smile and embrace Evan and Patrick. The two boys just laughed.

- I never really though.. I mean.. sure I notice Patrick looking at Evan, and sometimes Evan looking at Patrick with a dumb face but I never... Just be happy. - Liz wave and run to the front gate. The group look at her back unsure but not expecting nothing less from the brunette.

Marie just smile and embrace Pierre. Evan smile at Patrick and kissed the boy on the cheek. He look at each person and smile.

- I would never think of you other way, I should know that you would understand. Sam touch Evan's arm and the blond look at her confused.

 - And Rick?

- What?

- I mean.. he likes you..

- Oh.. - Evan look at Patrick. The younger just look away from him.

- I don’t want to make you sad or something but I'm worried about him.

Evan embrace Patrick from behind and being audacious kiss his neck smiling when his boyfriend shiver.

- You can go to him, Evan. I'll understand..

- But -

- The only thing that I except of you is that you came back to me after. - Patrick give the other a grin and kiss him on the lips. - I would never be your friend, and his, if I would just leave him suffering all alone.

- My god.. Patrick.. You're... I'm just falling in love with you all over again. How could I love someone else, Patrick? With you right here.. - Patrick blushed and smile sweetly at him.

- I love you too, Evan.

The two just pretend to be all alone and kiss like there was no tomorrow.

 Evan walked for sometime. The beach was totally empty, even the usually lovers by the sea or rocks were not there.

He stop when one person appear out of nowhere. Smiling the blond ready to run to Rick and talk with him. But when he was approaching when he saw someone run to Rick and embrace him.

Evan just stood there surprised.

- LEAVE ME ALONE, LIZ!

- NO! - Evan saw the two crying and he just didn’t know what to do.

- WHY?? WHY CAN YOU JUST LEAVE ME?!?

- BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, STUPID!

Evan smile and left the beach, knowing that deep down Rick had always loved her. And now everything was right where as supposed to be.
