Unknown Cries
By: K.S. Night
Upon the night with blackened skies,
A certain problem did arise.
On that night, the winds did sigh.
The still air rang with unknown cries.

A person young was given death.
Her heartbeat stilled beneath her breast.
Love forsook her heart, it's said.
Her tortured soul forever blessed.

Upon the night with blackened skies,
The scent of death did strongly rise.
On that night, the moon did cry.
The air was thick with unknown cries.

A lifeless body on the floor,
Crimson cuts from which agony poured.
In his life meaning was no more.
So he took it, and his soul he tore.

Upon the night with blackened skies,
The river of life suddenly ran dry.
On that night, nobody knew why
The air was filled with unknown cries.

A woman lying in the street,
Her body shattered at our feet.
Nobody knew why she leaped.
No one ever will, for she chose death so sweet.

Upon the night with blackened skies,
The spirit of death came to claim its prize.
On that night, the clouds did writhe.
Still the air sings its unknown cries.

Now as I finish my deadly list,
My soul is stolen through my lips.
I now feel death's gentle kiss,
But from my throat a scream rips.

Upon the dawn with blackened skies,
The sun again refused to shine.
On that day, the earth did die,
For the air was shattered by my unknown cries.
