Cyberman Ch. 13
“You will tremble beneath my awesome power!” Spookuh taunted. “You will rue the day you and your friends mocked me. You are finished Cyberman, and I shall rule the Earth in your wake.” “Well, who says you’ll be able to complete Step 1 in ruling the world; beating me?” Cyberman said. “I did!” Spookuh retorted. Powering up in his armor, clouds surrounded the building, and electricity flowed through him once more. He truly now deserved the horrific title of Lord Spookuh, covered in his super armor. Cyberman dived forward at him and threw the first punch. He was quickly stopped by Spookuh’s cold, metal hand on his wrist. “You are an example of both bravery and stupidity.” Spookuh told him. “I am a cyber-version of Shaq. I could fit my finger around your wrist.” At that last word, he twirled Cyberman into the air, and threw in down into the concrete, causing him to slide all the way down the block.
Cyberman was in no great shape right now. He managed to walk up, but only to be elbowed right into the neck by Spookuh seconds later, and pushed into the ground. Spookuh placed his leg on the hero’s back. “Children should stay out of someone else’s business. I could have ruled the world and have you lived peacefully, but now I will have to eliminate you.” He then turned the HVH’s battered body over. Spookuh then gave a good elbow to the stomach, causing him to scream with pain as he was being beaten. Spookuh then walked over and sat on him. “Now this is for meddling in my affairs!” He continually punched and walloped at Cyberman’s stomach and face, ripping his suit and wounding him in various places. He then got up and grabbed him by the neck, and dangled and choked the lifeless Cyber-warrior in the air. Placing his hand on Cyberman’s chest, Spookuh created an energy blast and fired him straight downtown, and eventually causing him to fall into the same intersection where the worm dug the hole. He was hanging on to the hole’s edge for dear life, as Spookuh walked up to him. “Good night, Cyberman.”
Meanwhile…
The others had little luck stopping the worm. He turned one street and then they noticed something. It was heading straight for City Hall. “Now what?” Leafy said. “We stop it.” Boltoon said. “Leafy, Zero, you’re with me. Use your powers to slow it down. Windy, go and try to evacuate everyone from the building. Rocky, you’re still in, um, ‘Stone Cold’ mode, so you’ll have to try and stop it head on.” Everyone agreed to this except Rocky. “Ah c’mon, I can evacuate!” Boltoon gave him a little spark on the neck. “All right, I’ll do it.” Boltoon, Zero and Leafy flew into the air. Boltoon used magnetism once more, as Zero held on with ice and Leafy created another set of vines. As they held on, Windy turned into a small tornado and flew right into the building, and pulled on the fire alarm. “This is not a drill!” She yelled. The mayor came out. “What’s the meaning of this, missy?” He asked. “That.” She said, pointing to the worm outside the window approaching City Hall. “Oh, very well then, carry on.” He replied, and headed out the emergency exit. Rocky was in front, and was about 10 feet in front of the worm. “Here goes something…” He said, digging his feet into the street. The worm approached with the other 3 still trying to pull it back. Rocky was now pushing with his hands and using as much super-strength as he could to stop it. Windy was still making sure everyone was evacuated, and the other 3 were plenty busy. They approached closer and closer, worried the worm wouldn’t stop in time. The worm tried to shoot laser beams at Rocky, but he powered up and shrugged them off. It was only 50 yards away, and time was running out. 40 yards, 35 yards, 30 yards, 25 yards, “Rocky!!!” Boltoon roared. Pushing with his last ounce, Rocky managed to stop the worm 10 yards away from the building, and the worm flipped onto its back. It was weakened, and the perfect chance to destroy it. Boltoon created a long sword of green electricity, and cut the beast right in the middle, as it howled and started losing power. It was soon done for in a few seconds. Everyone grabbed a quick breath, as everyone from city hall cheered for them. “Time to meet up with Cyberman.” Zero said. The others nodded.
Back at the worm hole…
Cyberman was about to fall, and all hope seemed lost. Spookuh flew into the air, and created one huge orange energy blast. Putting it behind his head, it was only seconds before he threw it. Then suddenly, another hole was being made. Soon enough, Rocky emerged, still “Stone Cold” and threw the tail of the worm it at Spookuh before he could react, sending him flying down the street. He then went back in the hole and lifted the head out. “I need a trophy case for this.” He said. He then created a stone platform for Cyberman, and lifted him out of the hole, and into the sky as the others showed up. “You went back to that Brad Pitt club didn’t you?” Rocky asked. Cyberman was too tired to respond, but Boltoon came up to him. “I think you’ll need this.” He gave Cyberman an electrical charge on his backpack, causing him to power up again. The electricity then flowed through his entire body. “I feel even stronger now!” He commented. “That’s kinda the point, Cyberman.” Zero said. Cyberman grinned and stood up, balled his fists, and got ready for round 2. “Easy there, Rocky.” Boltoon said. “Are you referring to the boxer, or me?” Rocky said. Everyone looked at him. “Oh, right. You could have said something like Muhammad to not confuse me.” He commented. Spookuh came back from the attack. “My poor worm! You destroyed him! I’ll destroy all of you!” “Your fight is with me, Spookuh.” Cyberman said. “You’re nuts, dude.” Leafy said. “It will take all of us to beat him.” Windy said. “Nah, I’ll be fine.” Cyberman said. “Don’t worry.” “Sounds good to me.” Rocky replied. Cyberman flew off the stone platform and flew face to face with Spookuh. “You just don’t know when to quit.”
“Some of Buzzkill’s last words.”
Cyberman created a cyber-sword and swung right at his head. Spookuh created his own sword of orange energy, and blocked it with that. They then had a sword clash, cutting and slashing in the air, then pushing against each other. “You’ve got a lot of nerve to take me on again.” Spookuh said. “Superheroes are good at that.” Cyberman retorted. He pushed Spookuh back and then slashed his chest, causing him to fly through the street again and through a parked car’s window. He powered up and destroyed the car around him, and fired several blasts at Cyberman. He created another shield and blocked every attack. Spookuh charged once more at the Yin Virus, but Cyberman charged back at him, and bounced him of his shield into the sky over a closed bowling alley. He then flew back at Spookuh, who gave a jab to the hero’s jaw, and sent him flying down through the roof and on the east side of the alley. He was sitting behind a bowling ball machine, as Spookuh came through on the west side. “You can’t hide from me! Come out now, or I’ll blow you out!” He shot rapid energy blasts all around the building, until Cyberman thought of an idea. Turning his body red, he flew through every machine, gathering more and more bowling balls at each machine. He emerged from the last one, flew out, and gave Spookuh a kick, sending him flying to the entry desk. Taking the dozens of balls in his hands, he covered it in a sphere of energy, and threw all the bowling balls right at Spookuh. “Strike!” He taunted. Spookuh remerged from the pile of balls, and threw each and every one at Cyberman. However, being all metal, Cyberman passed right through each one without a problem. “You’re a ghost!” Spookuh stuttered. “Nope- just a Cyber-warrior!” He dived towards Spookuh and tackled into him, flying all the way into the parking lot, where everyone waited. Spookuh was now the underdog, as Cyberman came up and put his foot on his chest. “And that was a perfect game.”
Spookuh was aghast. He had never fought someone so powerful; let alone a child. “In all my years of being programmed for evil have I never fought someone so sassy… oh, and strong.” “You’re not a virus?” Boltoon asked. “Noped, just programmed thousands of years ago by a family that has had me for generations.” Spookuh replied. “Then who?” Cyberman asked. Soon enough, a strange moniter came out of his chest, and it turned on. “Are you done with those kids, Spookuh?” A strange voice asked. “Not yet, Spooker.” He replied.
“Spooker?!” The four Cyber-warriors exclaimed. The moniter showed a face, as it was Mr. Spooker, one of the four friends’ teachers. The moniter turned its head to face Cyberman. “So, you’re the one that’s been interfering with my plans! That’s it! Spookuh, return to the base. We have some planning to do.” And instantly, Spookuh was teleported out of the parking lot. “He could have at least acknowledged us.” Rocky remarked.
The next day, the five friends were walking to their next class. “Alright, don’t act strange around Mr. Spooker. As far as we know, he doesn’t know.” Jin said. “How can we not act strangely? My arch-nemesis on the human plane is my teacher!” Jimmy said. “It’s all the norm of being a superhero.” Jack said, putting his arm and on his shoulder. “As well as fame and fortune.” Jimmy just shook his head, walking through the door.
“Looks like we’ve got some crazy times ahead of us.” Jimmy said to himself.
AN- and this book is done!!! The next book will be started soon, as it will be more of an in look of balancing being half-human, half-virus. Keep an eye out for it, and buh-bye!
