And so I am the resort of desperation

Because I know you have a craving for things you can't understand
Here's the bad poetry
Here are the sinking, missing doubts
Never knew what to say
Never knew what to write
I slept through the whole damn night
And never saw the darkening skies
(Your darkening eyes)
Ropes tied to dead branches not moving in the wind
not moving in the fire
Listen to it all come crashing down, the sound of a thousand gunshots
cracks the sound barrier into infinity
lashes at my Image
perishes suddenly
but it's not a surprise (nothing ever is)
Does shock ever call your name

Never a thought to consider
