My Immortal

Will you still hold me, when I'm gone,
Will you still walk our old paths anew,
Will you still lay your head upon my shoulder,
And gaze into my eyes.
Will you remember me when I'm gone,
Will you still see me in your dreams,
And when you close your eyes,
Or will I fade away.
Will you still think of me, as you once did,
And will you still love me when I'm gone.

Because I will still walk with you,
And put my arm around your shoulder,
I will still lay my head against yours,
And gaze into your sweet eyes.
I will still remember you, amongst the stars,
And if I dream I shall see you
As I once knew you, sitting by that fire,
Your eyes flickering in the dark, and,
I shall remain yours eternally,
And you shall remain, My Immortal.
