Misled Pain

This façade all shredded up fine,

Wrapped it up with a ball of twine,

A present for the kings,

A gift sublime,

My impermanent pain,

Tied loosely with string,

Throw me something,

Throw me a hook,

Anything, anything!

Just stop to look!

You have a knife,

Cut me free,

Or take my life.

I can’t seem to understand,

Where my life is going,

Which roads to take,

Or when I should turn around and go back,

Why look outside for help,

When I know,

In the end, is “I”.
