A month had past and all was well. Justin’s dad was locked up and this time was under severe surveillance. I couldn’t help but remember his words of how he thought evil succeeded. You were wrong I sighed.
Justin and his mother could now live a life as close to normal as they could get. It would never be exactly normal because memories would still exist. But they were happy and happiness ruled overall the bad memories.
As for Justin and I? We were extremely crazy in love and nothing or no one was going to change that. Considering what we had gone through, we were confident that we could stand through whatever life brought our way.
Sam and Katie had sorted out their so-called “problems” and Sam found out that is was all just a big misunderstanding. Katie couldn’t believe that Sam would ever get so frustrated about what his friend saw. The guy that she was seen with was…her cousin!
Out of all this drama, I did make a new unexpected friend: Lindsay. We thought after all that had happened, we would put the past behind us. The positive outcome was that she was actually a nice person inside and gave our group an even number! Therefore Kaci didn’t feel left out when Justin and I were- in her words- being “lovey dovey soppy people”.
As for my family unit? It was complete and I learnt that David did care about me and wasn’t trying to “take over”. The conflict between us vanished and I was forever grateful for what he did for me. I loved him and accepted him as my father.
A wise lesson was learnt from all of this: Don’t ever think that you don’t matter to this world because you will always have an affect in someone’s own world. There is a purpose for every life; no matter how big or how small, it has to be fulfilled. I became a hero, but even heroes have hero themselves. I had many.
David: For saving my
life and bringing a father figure into our unit.
Justin:
For showing me that I was needed and loved and I am forever his.
Sam:
My rock, who will always be there for me even if it is to correct me
in my ways.
Kaci & Katie: The two best friends a girl
could ever ask for. Both alike, yet different but I wouldn’t have
it any other way. These girls look out for me and make me who I
am.
Lindsay: For making me realise not to judge others. She
was one who played a part in saving me from death. I thank her.
Mum:
Every mum should be a hero but mine imparticular simply because
she is who she is.
This is the story of my life. One in which I will never forget. The road to recovery was long and hard, but I got there, and at the end I realised, I wasn’t alone.
