Oppressive books crush your chest
Preaching words attack your ears
Flags a flame, hearts divided.

One word against the other
Father fighting Father.
The scales tipped, the balance lost.

What's one more clause up in flames?
Once more freedom slipping away?

Ignorance breeding hatred
Contaminated brains bleeding rage
Sacred words twisted.
The ends always justify the means.
