I once had a dream
Of saddened eyes looking at me
Dark sight . . .
So luring was his mouth, his words
He enthralled me
I dreamed about a red sky
And a green meadow
I saw him, I dreamed him
Even I felt him
He was so perfect
Then I saw a river
A red-blooded river
With razor rocks and rotten tears
He drank its waters
He fell in it
With luminous eyes I farewell him
The river mar his body part by part
The rocks took his heart
The red-blooded water filled his eyes
His mind wasn't mine anymore
The blood that once ran through his veins
Made the river even more red
And my tears rotted in its waters
A deep pain tainted my soul
My heart wasn't pure anymore
I dream about that river every night
And every night, when my lips are pale
I drink its waters to make them red
To taste the blood of the one I loved
To farewell him once more
Once I dreamed I needed him
Once I dreamed he kissed me
Once I believed in him
But that in a dream will remain still
