No, this is not a new chapter. This is an author's notes in the guise of an update.

I know. So I burst your bubble. I'm sorry.

This is hopefully the first and last time I will be doing this. As of December 10, 2008, I have put up a notice on my profile saying Kaine will be undergoing heavy revision and will temporarily be titled "Kaine: Remix", and that all new chapters of this revision will be posted on my writing account at LiveJournal. There are two chapters to date in the new version. It has been more than three months since my last update of the old version on this site. Despite my previous disclaimer that I will not be discontinuing nor going on hiatus, I now deem it appropriate to officially be on indefinite hiatus. At least, for this site anyway.

To all my old readers, all of you know I have a chronic tendency to constantly revise, and I do apologize for all the trouble (i.e. rearranging chapters). I've been writing Kaine for four years now, and as a writer I feel the need to constantly improve. The more I continue with the old version, the more I see the many flaws of this story. I stress that I am not dropping this story. I am merely giving it a major overhaul because frankly, this story sucks ass!

So why post the new version on LJ than here on FP, you ask? I've decided not to post any update of this story on this site until the new version is complete (gee, I wonder when that day will come). To date, Kaine has 39 chapters and 973 reviews. To all those who have read this story for the last four years, thank you so much for sticking around. You guys are one of the biggest reasons why I want to make this story better.
