by : epiphanies

beyond the meadows

and springs of the world

in tufts of hair on a

baby's nape and the

chirping of young birds

beyond the sail of the sailboats

and prides of lions

I can see something else

shining through here,

in this spot.

As the wind blankets

my arms in fickle

spreads and my hair

is swept across my face

Something else is here,

Something very old

in that respectable,

commanding way

which makes you wonder

the before and the after

The beginning

When all there was was

wind

and beauty.

Beyond slipstreams and eddies,

mountains and hills

there is something else

indefinite. Infinite.

Desperate for the past

and as the shadows flickered

in the dash

of night

the creators alone bickered

in whether they'd lost their

sense of sight.
