The Introduction

Selina sighed softly, unable to believe that no one but Auron, who was still skeptical, believed her about the feeling that she had about the ribbon and the upside down crescent moon. She soon drifted to sleep, Auron coming in and checking on her once before going back to his small office and beginning to look up info on Selina’s strange dream. Everything was silent, the night having no sound when suddenly Selina’s eyes shot open. She could feel it, the presence of the being that was after her. She slowly sat up, the necklace that Auron gave her in her hand when suddenly the door flew open, the ghost like figure looking around the room and seeing nothing. It’s cold glare continued to look over the room while it hovered in a bit more, Selina sitting in a dark corner near the door while watching it. She slowly got to her feet and then bolted out of the door, the ghost instantly hearing her run as it quickly turned around and ripped up the floors and ripped apart the door. Selina gasped in fear but continued running as the ghost like being melted into the floor and began tearing it up. Selina could hear the ghost close behind her as she weaved through the many offices and soon found her way into Auron’s office. She called out his name and he appeared quickly, his face looking slightly confused at first when she ran into his office.

“It’s the thing!” she replied quickly as the boards behind her burst open, her jumping and rolling over Auron’s moveable white board before running down the hall to the right, the witch like ghost having cut off her exit to the left. Auron quickly grabbed his coat and followed, the ghost following them into the gym as Selina quickly explained to him what was happening while they ran down the many rows of wooden bleachers. He nodded and told her to keep on running before he slipped off to the side and was soon out of sight. Selina didn’t know what to say but listened as she skipped over the last couple of bleachers by jumping over them and down onto the gym floor while the witch busted up all the bleachers that it touched. She ran towards the large metal double doors and pushed them open, quickly running out into the rising sun while the witch soon followed but came swiftly out of the floor.

Selina didn’t know how much longer she could keep running when the witch started to hurl large balls of energy towards her as the weary Selina dodged the towns people here and there in the lightly populated street. She looked ahead of her and saw nothing when suddenly something caught her eye. Above the voices and noise she saw Auron standing on top of a sturdy straw roof. She ran and quickly got on top of a nearby picnic table which stood a couple of feet in front of the house and jumped, reaching out her hand desperately towards him, him running down the roof and standing out on an iron bar that stuck out of the roof as he reached out his hand towards hers as well. Time seemed to slow, there hands almost touching as the world went dark and a dark out line of angel wings sprouted out from Auron’s back and a bright violet outline of fairy wings appeared on Selina’s. They seemed to float there for a couple of seconds, the world remaining black when there hands touched and everything went back to normal, Auron grabbing a hold of Selina’s hand tightly as he slowly began to pull her up. Large yellow shots of energy were fired around her as Auron quickly brought her up on the roof and then lead her to the other side where they quickly jumped off and landed in the street nearby. Neither of them knew just what had happened but at the moment they didn’t really have the time to really think it over.

Auron led Selina down through the streets quickly, him still unable to find any sign of the witch, which worried him. Selina didn’t know how much longer she could run when she stumbled on one of the rough cobble stones and fell over. Auron didn’t hear her at first but by instinct turned around to see Selina laying on the ground a couple of feet behind him. He stopped and went to go back for her when suddenly the witch landed in-between them. Selina breathed heavily as she slowly got to her feet, her stocking being ripped and her knee stinging and bleeding as she watched the witch set her eyes on Auron. Some how, without even noticing it till now, she found that Auron’s necklace was still in her hands. She quickly put it on and ran her hand down slowly through the air, the motion drawing out her bow. The purely energy made substance looked weak but was actually fairly strong and durable. Selina quickly selected a violet energy arrow which appeared quickly from a violet quiver on her back. Though they are not witches, ghosts, or any other kind of evil super natural being they can still use the same kind of powers as there foes because of there teachers amazing training.

Auron slowly backed up and placed his hand down near his side when suddenly a dark grey light glowed and his large energy sword appeared. The witch drew up it’s hands and went to strike at Auron when Suddenly it was pierced by two or three of Selina’s well aimed arrows. The witch turned it’s head around backwards and looked at Selina before shrieking when Auron’s blade quickly sliced through it’s neck and sent it’s head rolling across the ground. Selina and Auron’s weapons disappeared before they watched the witches body turn to ash and the monks of light came to collect the venomous head of the witch.

Even though the witch is dead it can still harm you because all of it’s evil thoughts and powers still reside in that part of it’s body so only those who are pure and untainted like the monks and sages of light can come and collect the heads of these awful and vile beasts of the darkness.

Auron looked to Selina and she returned his solemn glance before he turned around and began to head towards the outside of town. Selina watched when one of the small monks ran up and handed her the bounty which had been promised for the destruction of the witch as Selina nodded mindlessly and took it, quickly running after her quiet partner.

Selina’s ‘over the knee’ length dress swayed lightly as she ran down the street when the stinging of her knee began to bother her once again, the adrenaline that her heart felt having slowly lean and let the pain seep back in. She sighed, slowing down only for a little before she finally caught up to her partner, her not wanting him to think that she couldn’t even handle a scrape on her knee. She looked down at her stripped stockings angrily and then down at her black buckle up boots.

Auron continued to walk on silently, glancing over at his partner only slightly when he noticed that she looked a little down. He looked back up ahead and then down at the ground himself before stopping, Selina not even noticing until she passed a couple of steps ahead of him. She looked back at him curiously, pushing her glasses up further on her face when he noticed that her knee was bleeding. He walked up to her and stopped, his long hair blowing softly in the wind along with her own as there eyes locked and didn’t seem to move.

“What’s wrong?” she asked curiously when he closed his eyes and walked past her.

“You should get that looked at,” he replied quietly when she turned and watched him continue on once again.

Selina sighed once again before she fixed her long gloves and did up her long jacket and followed after him once again. Auron looked to the sky, his semi-tight pants and tight muscle shirt hardly keeping him warm as the metal chains on his body clanged softly, hardly able to hear by the human ear while his black boots kicked the ground slightly. In the town and out, the way that they seemed to travel. Bounty-hunters is what they’re known by, no one really caring for there real name except for those of there own kind. Selina and Auron. Both different but both the same, them tied tightly together by fate and the longing that they secretly have for one another.
