The attack of the killer dog.

On the morning of September 8th, 1999 Sue Wellard was out on her usual morning walk with one of her good neighbor friends Sophie Reefer.
As Sue picked up Sophie at her house that morning she asked Sophie “Where would you like to walk today?” Sophie replied “How about Pumpkin Park!” Immediately Sue drove to the park and they got out and started their refreshing morning walk.
They were walking along enjoying themselves with their conversation when all of a sudden Sophie thought she heard a growling of some sort in the nearby thicket. Sue just said “Thats a bunch of nonsense!” And they kept on walking merrily.
About three or four minutes later a dog jumped out of the bushes in front of them. Sue thought that he looked like a nice dog and proceeded to pet him. But before she could get her hand close enough to pet him on the head the dog suddenly broke into a snarling growl and with lightning speed bit her index and middle fingers off. Sue gave a blood curdling scream and her and Sophie began to run, but the dog chased them down.
As they were running back to their car and screaming for help the dog quickly and cunningly jumped onto Sophie's back and started to rip up her right shoulder. Soon Sophie could no longer bear the pain and crumpled to the ground with the dog still chewing on her. She told Sue to run and save herself. But, being the man of a woman that she was, Sue found the biggest stick next to her and started to attack the dog to save her dear friends life.
Sue was hurling the huge stick down onto the dogs tough skull. It seemed to be doing almost nothing to help her friend. Suddenly, the dog stopped chewing on Sophie and glared with his hazy and glazy eyes into Sue's pretty green eyes. He gave her the look of a rabid dog and was closing in on his prey.
In despair and wondering what to do Sue remembered the .38 special she was carrying in her fanny pack. With raging force she ripped open her fanny pack and whipped out the gun. The dog must have sensed the gun somehow and started to run away. Sue, having no mercy, started pumping bullets into the back of the dog's head as he was running. The dog gave out a few yelps and fell to the ground motionless, dead.
Sue quickly helped her friend to the car and drove her friend to the hospital.
Sophie lives with only one arm now and Sue with only three fingers on her left hand due to rabid dog that was loose two years ago today. She thanks God every day that she is still alive and now carries a collapsible shotgun in her purse.
