A poem I wrote. Please tell me if you think it works or not.

Wilted Roses

I’ve tried to show you how sorry I am

To make up for everything I’ve done to you

I wrote you letters on scented paper

I made a sign and hung it in the air

I even sent a bouquet of roses

White, because I hoped you’d forget my past

Later I found them, lying on the ground

Wilted and crushed like my heart has become

I want to tell you how I sorry am

But you never listen to what I say

Maybe what I’ve done has hurt you too much

You can’t forgive me, I can understand

But how can I know if you don’t tell me

Whether to give you up, try to move on

Or to keep on sitting outside your door

With my wilting flowers and my crushed heart
