Title: Unusual Love ~A love so real~

Summary:

It was never sure where love can be. What if you found your love in someone you thought you will never fall in love with? Say your arch-enemy?

Prologue

"Hey, look out Kit!" A voice from behind shouted. A ball was heading towards a girl with short black hair. Without even looking, the girl caught the ball at ease with her hand. She wore a blue spectacle and brown eyes narrowed at the people in sight. She screened the area and her eyes stopped at a particular man. His reddish-brown eyes were looking at her and he wore a smirk on his face as if he was very satisfied.

"You did this?" The girl called Kit asked as she walked over towards him. Everyone was looking at her as she moved. They knew that these two were arch-enemies. Once they start, they will never know when to stop.

"Yes," The man replied with a smile, "I don't think it's a crime. It was an accident."

"When you think about it, you are right. It's not a crime," Kit replied with a smile as she stopped in front of the man, "But tell me, Rex. Since when did you ever have an accident in your whole history?"

"Now?" Rex replied sarcastically.

"Very funny indeed, Rex," Kit told him, as she narrowed her eyes, "Now, why not you get you and your accident off my sight?"

"Do you think I will listen to you, Kitty girl?" Rex asked as he sneered ever brighter.

"Apparently no," Kit replied in a discontented tone.

"If you ask me, Kit, I would say." Before he could finish his sentence, another voice had already cut in.

"Kit!" The voice called out. This made Kit and Rex looked over to see another man. He had brownish hair and grayish eyes.

"Mike," Kit called out as she ran and hugged the man. Mike returned her a kiss by the cheeks before turning to Rex.

"Hi there Rex," Mike smiled at him, "See you were trying to irritate my girlfriend again."

"It's none of you business," Rex replied while suppressing the anger that was building within him, "It's between me and Kit."

"Well, it's my business, since you are dealing with my Kit," Mike replied as he narrowed his eyes at him.

"Come on, Mike," Kit told him as she pulled him along, "It's no use to deal with the best student of the school. Let's go."

With the last look, Mike turned to leave with Kit. As the crowd dispersed, Rex sighed. Why was he suppressing his anger? And why was he angry in the first place? Bidding goodbye to his friends, he walked off alone. Girls were practically staring at him as he moved. But none dared to walk over to him. And he knew why. He was famous for stalking girls out. He was also famous of being the best student of the school. He was even known for the most wanted man in the school. But he never had a fix girlfriend.

Kit was the second best student of the school. Her intelligence and her out- looking attitude made her the top most wanted girl in the school. She was practically nice to everyone, including the girls. But she was never nice to Rex. For some strange reasons, the two of them could never get along well with one another. They were constantly fighting with each other. It was only recently that he received news that Kit was going out with Mike.

'Since when will she ever be nice to me?' Rex thought as he walked to the by-then empty garden. Even since they were in elementary school, they were always fighting. In studies, in projects and in almost everything.

But he enjoyed fighting with her, provoking her and arguing with her. Every moment they shared, he enjoyed it. When he first received the news about her going out with Mike, he was averse to believe it. But he saw with his own eyes, Kit kissing Mike goodbye. His heart stopped when he witnessed it. A resentful and heartrending feeling swept past him like an arrow. It was as if the time itself had stopped.

Rex sat down on the bench and looked up into that azure sky above him. Why was it so heartbreaking to see them together? Kit, that was. He saw her smiling so delightfully. A smile, him as one of her oldest friend had never seen before. It hurt him even worst. She had never smiled so brightly and sweetly to him before. It was something he will never be able to obtain from her.

'God damn. I was so bloody hell in love with her.' Rex sighed as he looked back down at his palm. Clutching his palm tightly, he sat back in his seat. He knew he was going to skip the lessons for today.

Meanwhile, Kit was happily chatting with Mike about how she managed to escape the 'attack' attempted by Rex. Mike listened attentively, nodding and smiling at his girlfriend. For actual, he never really liked Kit talking about Rex. But when he saw her smile, his thought was only on her. Not her words or her actions, but her alone. He loved just the way she was. The way she acted and the way she responded.

Kit, on the other hand, enjoyed talking about how she had made Rex act like a clown. She loved tensing and frustrating Rex. In fact, she loved to make his life miserable. As miserable as possible. But, at time, she pitied that man. He never had a girlfriend. A fix one that was. He was always changing the girl. She wondered why. Was it that enjoyable to fool a girl's heart?

As soon as they walked into the class, the bell had ringed. Settling themselves at their seats, the subject teacher had walked in. As soon as she stepped in, and looked at the class, she knew immediately who was not in class.

"Where is Rex?" The teacher asked. Everyone looked at one another. Mumbling was heard among the students. Kit looked over to Mike who just rolled his eyes and back at the teacher who stared at her. It was almost at once she knew what the teacher wanted her to do.

"Yes, Mrs. Armstrong, I will go and find him," Kit sighed as she stood up to leave.

"And you better do, Miss Kit," Mrs. Armstrong replied, "I will have to tell the whole class about your project work. Especially the two of you."

"The two of us?" Kit asked as she looked at the teacher in confusion.

"The two of you are partner up," Mrs. Armstrong replied, "Your assignment is to write a full report of anything that is relative to science, mathematics or geography."

"WHAT?!" Kit shouted out in shock. The class looked at her in confusion.

"You heard me, Miss Kit, so get along and ask Mr. Rex to come back into class," Mrs. Armstrong told her. Kit was still standing there in shock.

This had to be a joke.
