I'm sorry that I want to live
I'm sorry that all I try to do is give
I'm sorry that every time I cry
I also very much want to die
I'm sorry that I am sensitive
and very much aggressive
I'm sorry that I hate life
but cannot destroy it with a knife
I'm sorry I want to be a normal girl
that has sleepovers and likes to twirl
I'm sorry that I want to have friends
I'm sorry that my wounds need mends
I'm for my insanity
and that I just can't face reality
I'm sorry that I annoy the boys
I'm sorry that I still like toys
I'm sorry that I can't be perfect
and very much unkempt
I'm sorry that I have to exist
but that's not my fault is it?
I'm sorry I have talent
and that I have dreams like everyone else
I'm sorry that I feel all these things
I just hope one day they may give me wings
Because I just want to fly
and maybe some day never cry
because I'm sorry I like to laugh
and I'm sorry I'm not very tough
I'm sorry that I appear to be a coward
but bravery is not always outward
I'm sorry I like to be lazy
and can be very hazy
I'm sorry when I work it's a surprise
and in my world the sun may never rise
but this I'm sure I'm not sorry for
is that I can go through life and maybe continue
because suicide is saved for the weak
and I of course I am not weak.
