Two Angels and the Girl they Watched

Two angels starred silently from the cloud above the Earth in heaven. One starred to the other as they watched a graduation day down on earth. Their thoughts and focus was on one girl.

"She's finally made it to her senior graduation. What do you think she'll do now?"

The second turned to the first.

"I dunno, she's been saving and scrapping her pennies for the last year. She's going to college, that's for sure."

The first angel sighed.

"They say she was one of the few whose wings were cut young, forced to walk the path on the ground."

The second nodded as the first starred down.

"She's gonna make a run at freedom isn't she?"

The second turned to the first, and they saw it in each other's eyes. This girl was going to run straight for freedom, leap of that cliff, not worrying if she had wings or not. The first angel smiled.

"She's up next, she looks so happy, she's ready to leave and go forward into her own world."

The two clapped silently as the class of '04 bowed. They turned to return to the choir house to practice.
