A rose is just a sweet way to say how much I care
Or simply how much I love
But it will never be enough
To say the thank yous of so much

In the beginning we talked
I simply listened
Thinking of only how I could help you
Simply saying in my poems
And getting your feelings out on the paper and pen I used

Then everything seemed to flip
You life was looking up
And I was dancing with you
On the clouds of happiness the lord provided us
Smiling and laughing was our sign of friendship

Suddenly we took a turn for the worst
Holding eachother and wishing for something good to happen
Praying everything would be all right
Hoping that we would never stray from one another
Always being there for the other in this time of need

Life began to look up
Our tears dried and we grew closer than ever
No one could come between us
No one could steal the meanings in our smiles
We were the undefeatable duo

I met a boy, and fell hard for him
Spilled tears over him
And yet you still came to my rescue
Telling me the sweet nothings I always wanted to hear
Loving me like I was your own daughter
But just a great friend that you love and treasured

A poem is a bunch of words
Sometimes not making alot of sense
They may rhyme or they may not
But they have this meaning
They come from the heart

This poem is to you
Pouring out of my heart
The love I have for you and will always have
Even if we do grow apart
Having you in my life has made me smile
Wiped away tears from my eyes

I always want you in my life
Treasured in my heart forever
You are my greatest gift
From the all mighty lord
And I never will let you leave
My ever locked up heart.
