Life is cold
I've known it
from the start
Tastes like shit
I know it hit-
my cold, cracked heart
like a shining knife
The greatest day:
the coldest
life-
With shirts untucked
and loose
swinging from a noose
life: hangs from the top pole
I call them all
"Ass hole"
But I know they'll say nothing-
words, lost in the cold
wind that tears down our chimes that sing
the same songs of old:
The murderous, mid-morning dread-
