I didn't believe in you, Destiny,
But I believe in you now.
Pale and lifeless in the dark, you call for me,
Reaching up to me with swollen hands
That tug mercilessly at my heart
And pull at my soul.
They wouldn't mind, would they?
I know they wouldn't mind.
So be patient, Destiny.
We don't have long to wait
Before I lose my way
And find myself stranded
On a lonely road headed Nowhere But Down.
Is it good where you are, Destiny?
Everything here is hazy,
Dull and gray like my heart,
And I can't feel anything through the pain.
I can pretend that they don't hurt me,
That their insults and wicked words
Are just words,
But I've lost it, Destiny.
When they laugh at me
I laugh with them.
I was stupid to think that someone else
Could feel this same burning pain
And understand the unrelenting blackness
That accompanies it.
How could I have hoped for something
That will never happen?
They don't know how much they hurt me, Destiny,
And I can't find the strength to tell them.
Living is a chore now,
And the time is drawing nearer
With each shallow, aching breath I take.
I can feel you reaching for me,
So impatient, so impatient....
I'm coming so close to the end now,
And I can't wait.
It's getting colder, Destiny,
And I can't feel myself anymore.
I almost wish that you would take me
Because the waiting is just as bad as everything else.
We'll be together soon, I promise,
And then things will be alright.
Someday, Destiny, someday soon,
I'll put the gun to my head and pull the trigger.
Just promise you won't try to stop me,
And someday, someday soon, we'll be together.
But until then, wait for me.
I'm coming, Destiny....
