Kera and Alli walked through the forest quietly. That was when they saw him…a mortal. Kera took small and slow steps towards it, but Alli moved swiftly. She kneeled beside the unconscious mortal and reached out a pale hand to him.

“Oh, Kera, isn’t he handsome?” Alli looked to her best friend, but Kera just took a large step back.

“Don’t touch him, Alli…he is poison!” But it was too late; Alli touched the man’s face. He wore thin armor, blood trickled down it.

“But, Kera, he is hurt.” Alli pulled back her lavender hair into a tight yet messy bun and pulled out her handkerchief. She began to wipe the mortal’s blood away, her friend gasped in horror.

“If you don’t move away from him I will tell your father!” Alli stared at the mortal’s face and shook her head. He was so cold, his breath and ridged.

“Go tell him then, Kera. This mortal needs my help.” Kera nodded and ran off to tell. Once Kera was out of sight, Alli pulled the man into her lap. She whispered a few words in a language lost to mortals but still fresh to the genie fairies. She moved her hands over where his still bleeding wound was and her hands glowed brightly.

Within a few moments the mortal began to stir. He opened his eyes, beautiful ocean deep blue eyes shown through. Alli heard voices coming towards them and set the mortal down. She threw fallen branches over him and hurried towards them. Her eyes looked back to where she’d left that mortal. She would never forget him…nor those beautiful eyes that showed much thanks. Forever was a long time…and forever she’d remember the handsome mortal.
