Nobody ever knew that in a way I was there.
You never knew how much I cared.
I saw them fall,
The towers both two and tall.
The horror of the image I cannot shake from my mind,
And we searched and searched for the survivors we knew we'd never find.
But out of the terror we rose again,
Neighbors everywhere with a helping hand to lend.
Now whenever a plane roars overhead; I hear,
And I can't move but for shaking in fear.
I'll never forget
The day two planes and the twin towers met.
