That Day Will Come

  

Endless tears, rolling softly down my cheek,

As I wonder when I may see you again,

When I’ll hear your voice, feel your touch,

And whether you’ll still love me, then.

  

I remember those perfect times we shared,

And the memory will always make me smile,

But today was always coming, I know,

And I won’t now see you for a while.

  

I miss you more than you’ll ever know,

Living life without you is not living at all,

But I’ll get through it somehow, sometime soon,

I’m not going to let myself go, let myself fall.

  

Though my heart bleeds, missing you entirely,

You’ll be back, however far away that day may be,

And I know, with every pained beat of my heart,

That, that day will come, eventually.
