My life was centred on hating you so,

Thinking of things that made me hate you even more,

I never got to know you, never wanted to see,

The person inside you, the one you could be.

Could make me smile, and put, the spark in my day,

But I just wouldn’t let myself believe, all your good qualities,

‘Cause I was scared of what you were starting to mean to me.

 

Then as the sun rose, so high in the sky,

I opened my eyes, and saw you trying to fly,

I realised that I want you to hold me close,

I knew you were the one I needed to love me, most.

 

I never knew what love was, ‘til I saw you that day,

Saw you trying in vain, to fly, so far away,

But I made you stay, and I held you tight,

And we finally sealed our love, with a kiss, that night.

 

My life is centred on loving you today,

You are my everything; my night, and my day,

I’ll love you always, and we’ll stay together,
