Tears on the Window Sill

I sit near the window as the steady raindrops fall

I am trying to find something good

So I can get past all the pain

I know he'll be gone soon

But that does not help much

You make me want to be perfect

Just like you

I want to be flawless

But I'm just me

When I look at you and my heart jumps

When we brush arms in the hallway I want to fly

I have to admit I thought there was a chance

But it wasn't long tell a messenger said

Bad new I have

So I'm not as beautifully

I can live with that

I know I never be priceless

It's coal compared to diamonds

The rain slides gently over the surface of the glass

They are all different shapes

Yet their purity is the same

So now I sit her and tears start to fall

And I realize perhaps there is no difference between the teardrops and the rain
