Flamenco Night

The charcoal night

Remnants of a blaze;

A celebration of spirit

An intermittent flicker

Taking within my hands

The warm soil

Keeping it close to my heart

The night is never over

Red silk slithering

Past my eyes, blind I am

For that moment I become as with the crimson

And am captivated by her daring smile

I watch and see, the red tulip explode

Within the tender bulb I dance

Searching for her hand

Gypsy silk twirling beneath the enlivened moon

Not a sad face in sight

Taken by the flamenco moon

Close, together you hold me

You show me the golden locks of lions

The roar of the lioness defiant

Elegant;

Princessa

Step and step again

We take this flamboyant journey

Hypnotised by the flow of

Crimson butterfly

Teasing complexion;

The captivation of your smile

I hold you close and feel your heartbeat

Your eyes alive and enflamed

With a mere twist of your wrist

The dance again we take

Close, held to me to never release

I show you the flame of my heart

Gypsies play before the roaring flame

I see a thousand worlds in one

The rapid flurry of movement

The flame flies to the flamenco moon

There, it meets the firefly

Taken by her timid stare

The flame and flower unite

All beneath the flamenco moon

The tear of fire escapes my eye

Remnants of a blaze

Around which he danced

I take the warm soil and rejoice

The night is never over;

Nor the firefly and flower

All beneath the flamenco moon.
