A/N: Thank you to the one person that reviewed! Queen of the Storms! This is dedicated to you.

I used the term ‘Silver Kiss’ in this chapter, like the book, but with a different meaning. And, yes, I based this mostly off Angel Sanctuary. Such a great manga and anime, yet I still haven’t found another DVD of it out yet. –growls-

Throughout the next week nothing really happened at all. Aries had not appeared once and Alexander was beginning to wonder if something had happened to him or if he just wasn’t going to come back. It was really getting on his nerves, and he was uptight and very tense.

Friday…

Alexander packed up some clothes and just left his house for a while, living in and out of Marcelle’s house.

Her parents were Travel Agents that went all over the world, quite often. They were out of the house again. This time for two weeks and Marcelle had requested Alexander’s company.

The only reason he had agreed was because the mother was patronizing him about driving safely and his snappy attitude lately. It was so bad now that he couldn’t even go home without the threat of insanity following him at every turn.

He banned them from his cell phone so he couldn’t receive their calls and he purposely told all his friends to avoid giving them any information to his whereabouts. Knowing the parentals, it was even necessary to call the police and tell his close buddies his little story of running away and why so they would tell the parentals to bug off when they called.

After all of it was said and done, he didn’t even spend much time at Marcelle’s house because she was trying to get in bed with him and he couldn’t take everyone trying to get close to him.

He needed time alone.

He traveled back to the beach, which was miraculously deserted because it was near night.

The water felt great as the sun went down and Alexander laid there absorbing it all. He leaned against a large rock near the water so it came up to his toes. The seas continuous motion was very calming and peaceful.

No one around to ask him questions and bother him.

….

He fell asleep in the coming darkness and didn’t awaken until a gentle pressure was put to his lips.

Alexander was startled awake, but when he saw Aries there, he closed his eyes, calming again, and pushed back.

When they pulled away, Aries promptly pulled Alexander into a deep embrace. He left a trail of kisses up Alexander’s neck.

“You’ve been away so long.” Alexander moaned as Aries ravaged his neck. “I was beginning to worry they had found you out. Are you alright?”

“Being with you makes me alright.” Aries answered.

Alexander pulled Aries closer to him, then he realized the water had risen up to his waist as he sat there. The tide was coming in, but he didn’t care, all that mattered was Aries.

“You aren’t living with your fake parents any longer?” Aries whispered.

“They’re bothering me about the new jeep they gave me and the times that I came home with alcohol on my breath. I moved temporarily in with Marcelle, but she won’t leave me alone either. Every second of every day just makes me want them all to shut up. I’ve been trying to find a lot of time to think lately and all that time was spent thinking about you. Every thought was just proving to myself what I failed to realize: I am madly in love with you and I can’t stand the time we spend apart.” Alexander looked away from Aries. “I don’t know what you’re going to say and I’m curious to hear your reply.”

“Look at me.” Aries insisted and Alexander slowly complied. “I wish nothing more than for us to live and love together every second of every day. It has hurt to be away from you for so long. I crave your body, your taste, your blood.”

“Take it, if that is what you want. Take it.” Alexander kissed Aries’ neck, exposing his to Aries at the same time. Aries leaned closer kissing Alexander’s neck again, once, twice, then he bit down, his fangs bared and deep into Alexander’s throat.

Alexander grimaced at first, but made his face blank and bared it easily. He felt Aries pull him closer, and he gently held Aries, playing with his hair.

When Aries pulled away Alexander’s face was still blank, his eyes half open and tired.

Aries caressed his cheek and kissed him.

“Is the night mine?” Alexander mumbled softly.

“Provided you have the strength, it is yours. Where do you want to go?”

Alexander twirled Aries over. He bound Aries’ arms down and smirked from his position on top of the demon.

“I don’t want to go anywhere.”

They laid in each others love, kissing and caressing each other as the tide continued to come in.

When it got too high they grabbed their clothes and left the beach heading to the jeep, as per Alexander’s request.

Alexander dried himself off with a towel, while Aries stood next to him just watching him. After he was dry and naked, Alexander dug through the back of his jeep and came up with his duffel bag. He pulled some dry clothes out of there and dressed in front of Aries.

After that Aries, who was dressed in his wet clothes, merely snapped his fingers and he was completely dry.

“Why didn’t you do that for me too?” Alexander asked gawking at the new found power.

“You didn’t ask.” Aries smirked. “Besides, I liked watching you.” Aries caressed Alexander, pulling him closer again, but they were interrupted by a bright light being shined on them. Aries immediately changed his appearance in the eyes of the policeman who stood looking at them from beside his police car.

To the policeman he looked like an eighteen-year-old girl, with big breasts, in a dress.

“What are you two doing here?” The man asked.

“A midnight stroll.” Alexander replied cunningly. He took advantage of Aries’ disguise and kissed him full on the mouth passionately. “Sorry about that officer. We’ll be leaving now.”

“You know it’s against the law to be here this late at night, causing such a disturbance.” He growled in an authoritative manner.

“No, Sir, I didn’t know. Were we causing a disturbance, Sir?”

“I got a call about some loud yelling down here.” He replied walking closer to him, his flashlight still on them. He kept coming closer, nearly blinding Alexander and Aries, who squinted, his eyes almost closed. He tucked his head under Alexander’s neck, still looking at the man.

“The light!” Alexander snapped, covering Aries’ eyes with his arm. The man got about two feet away before lowering the light and he started to laugh and patted Alexander on the arm. Alexander was alarmed at first, but he calmed. “Danny, you asshole! Fuck you! What the hell you doing over here?”

Aries looked curiously at both men. He had thought that Alexander might be in trouble for a moment until he had realized they were joking around with each other. What odd humans.

The man, Danny, laughed with him. “I tracked you down, dude. Your parents have been calling none-stop!” He groaned and they bumped fists up and down in a manly greeting. “Who’s the beautiful lady?” Danny gestured to Aries.

“This ain’t no lady!” Alexander laughed and pulled Aries closer.

“That’s no way to talk right in front of her.” He reached out his hand to touch Aries and Alexander pushed his hand away laughing.

“Hey, hands off!”

“I’m a gentleman.” Danny snapped defensively.

“Gentleman of what? Apes?” He caressed Aries’ hair. “I got to get her home, asshole! I’ll see you later.” They started to get into Alexander’s jeep and Danny came up beside them.

“What do you want to do about your parents? They are begging you to come home, dude.”

“What home?” Alexander growled seriously. “I’m eighteen and legally I can move out of there. They aren’t my parents either so just tell them that.”

“Why don’t you?” Danny replied saddened.

“I’ve tried, a zillion times, and they won’t listen. I’m their little boy or so they call me. I go to school when I’m supposed to and I’m going to graduate early this year. What more can they want? Danny, man, I’m sorry they’re a pain, but they just have to learn to deal with it. I tried doing it the civil way, you know with a farewell party or something, but that woman just won’t let go!”

“I understand.” Danny whispered. “My parents were the same.”

“I remember.” He nodded in recognition. “What did you do?”

“What you’re doing.” Danny answered.

“Exactly, but unlike you I don’t care what they think.”

Danny nodded. “Go ahead.”

Alexander nodded and left, with Aries’ hand in his.

After they were on the road for a while, Aries could tell why Alexander had had to leave the house and have all that time to think.

“I’m not going back to Hell.” Aries whispered, dropping his façade. Alexander’s head snapped to look at him.

“Did something…?” He gasped.

“No! I just can’t stand being away from you.” Aries gaze dropped to Alexander casually. “I know you can’t stand it either, so I will take you away from here once you graduate and we will go to a place, where neither Heaven nor Hell will be able to find us. My brother let me drink his blood in a Silver Kiss. He seduced the son of Satan into making love with him and he stole the blood from that immortal-god, then he gave it to me when I told him of my plans.”

“What is a Silver Kiss?” Alexander whispered as he pulled onto the nearly empty highway.

“Satan has silver blood, and all demons are made from him, so we all have that power in us, but the farther you are related from him, the more red your blood is. That is why humans have red blood. It is plain and quite far from his power. The mortals that have a special taste are usually very gifted in something. Immortals, like myself, want that blood because it is closer related to Satan than themselves. My blood is silver as well, but when I drink your blood my skin becomes darker because you have darker blood. God and most angels of the higher classes also have silver blood, as Alexiel has told me. She was a Seraphim, with very pure silver blood, so you of course have mixed, making you stronger in all aspects.”

“That’s why I am so good at sports.” He interrupted, one hand on the wheel, the other dangling behind him over his seat. He comfortably stayed there, half turned to Aries, staring at the road.

“Do you wish me to stop?” Aries wondered.

“No.” Alexander whispered. “Continue.”

“A lower class –which is anything under the Cherubim- won’t have silver blood. Grigore is the lowest and weakest form of angels. They are the humans who died and went to Heaven as newly born angels. We call the drink a kiss; a Silver Kiss. When one of us drinks from another, it is passionate and pure ecstasy. That is what I feel anyway. Is it what you feel?” Aries paused.

“Not at first. When you took my blood at first, it hurt a lot, but that also was because I was afraid of you. After the initial shock it became a togetherness that I enjoyed, I suppose. I don’t know what to call it. Words can’t describe the feeling.” He frowned as if in thought. “Later, when I took your blood my pleasure was double. I loved it, and every mingling of blood we had in between when we made love. Then just now when you took my blood, it was like a swoon on my body because I hadn’t experienced you for so long, but I don’t know what it was. Ecstasy? Love? It’s impossible to tell.”

They drove in silence for a while.

“I’m sorry if I offended you.” Alexander sighed and shook his head, his eyes off the road for a moment, then concentrating on it again.

“Not at all. I expect an honest answer when I ask a question, just as I give only honest answers.”

“Where will you live while I go to school?” Alexander’s eyes were half closed, but still on the road as he drove faster.

“I need nothing other than your blood to sustain me. I need no food, or clothes, or place to sleep. I will live with you. You can introduce me as your new friend. I will disguise myself as a female teenager, so that I may visit you often with your fake parents around, and I can be with you when you are with your friends because they will think I am your girlfriend.”

“You can disguise yourself during the day?” Alexander wondered.

“Yes. It takes more of my strength, but I can.”

“Don’t hurt yourself just for a façade. I love you too much to see you hurt.” Alexander reached his hand over and pet Aries’ hair, then he returned his arm to its resting place on the back of his seat.

Aries smiled, staring at Alexander seductively.

“You are the most beautiful thing that has ever crossed this world’s path, if I had not happened upon you it would have been the biggest tragedy of my lifetime.”

Alexander knew this was a very long time seeing as Aries was immortal.

“How old are you?” He wondered.

“Over three thousand years.” Aries answered. “It’s been one thousand years since the last Armageddon. I fear another will start though. David will not just let this be.”

“What’s that?” Alexander squinted to be able to see a figure in the middle of the road. The road was covered in a layer of mist twenty yards ahead. A white figure stood in it, in a robe, scowling at them.

Alexander saw the human form and put on the brakes quickly. There was no time to turn away and he was going too fast; they would have tipped over. He reached an arm around Aries and pulled him across the gap between them. He covered Aries and braced for impact.

The car skidded through the mist and the figure that seemed a ghost standing there.

When the jeep finally came to a halt, Aries was gasping for breath, he sat up and Alexander fell back against his seat, his head bleeding and the blood matting his hair. It wasn’t bad, just a bleeding bump, but it made Aries furious.

He stood, looked back to the mist, and gasped.

“David!” Aries was in shock at first, then angry again. “What the hell do you want? Alexiel hasn’t surfaced and never will!”

The figure didn’t move, but instead just disappeared with the mist into the night.

Aries bent back over the unconscious Alexander and kissed him.

“Alexander.” He murmured quietly.

“Aries.” He replied and grabbed his head, then became frightened. “Did I hit him?!”

“It was a spirit. No one was hurt.”

“Spirit?”

“David.” Aries growled. “He projected his form into this world. He is becoming stronger.”

“Aries!” Another voice shouted from above.

Thankfully the highway was empty just then and no one saw the angel, with white wings fly down beside the vehicle.

“Gabriel.” Aries hissed. “Fuck off!”

Alexander looked drunkenly at the angel. He himself was very tired, and could easily accept even an angel landing next to him as being possible right then.

“Aries, you saw it?”

“Of course I fucking saw it. He was right in front of me! I’m a demon; I’m not blind.”

“Close enough.”

“Shove it!”

“You are becoming vile.” This angel, Gabriel, snapped.

“Becoming?” Aries flailed his arms. “I’ve always been cross toward you. I hate you! Go away!”

“You know why David was here! He is rising, Aries, because you are here on Earth where he can not be. You, the lover of, Alexiel –the one he cared for.”

“ ‘If David rises another war will break out’!” He repeated as if he had heard it a thousand times. “I know! Stop telling me things I already know! It’s not all my fault anyway. David has been trying to rise ever since Alexiel trapped him!”

“You are quite bold, Aries. Coming to Earth and trifling with humans. You could be thrown out of Hell for this. Being exiled forever. How would you like that?”

“Let it happen and we’ll find out, Gabriel. Now fuck off! I don’t want to look at you any longer.”

Gabriel frowned and took off toward Heaven.

“My love, we must leave for your home, now. The sun is coming.” Aries whispered to Alexander once Gabriel was gone. “Can you drive?”

“Yeah.” Alexander groaned as he touched his head and saw blood on his hand.

Aries leaned close to him and covered his mouth over Alexander’s fingers, sucking the blood off of them and licking his fingers intimately. He then bit his own tongue. He licked his blood onto Alexander’s wound, it healed after a moment and Aries sat back down.

They continued, both of them still not wearing seat belts.

After they pulled up to Alexander’s fake parent’s house, they both got out. They walked up to the door and Aries disguised himself again. The door was immediately opened before Alexander could even knock.

The mother stood there, the father behind her. They both had circles under their eyes. They wore their robes, but their eyes lit up to see Alexander there, then they turned to look at the beautiful girl beside him. They both looked tired.

“Come in.” The mother whispered, her black hair falling out of its bun. “Sleep and we’ll talk quietly in the morning.”

Alexander took Aries by his waist and pulled him gently in, away from the parentals so they couldn’t touch him/her.

“You can sleep on the couch.” The mother whispered tiredly, talking to Aries.

“She’ll sleep with me.” Alexander replied dominantly and the mother nodded after a pause of silent shock.

They headed up to Alexander’s room wishing the parentals a good night sleep.

Alexander shut and locked the door to his room, then pulled Aries onto the bed with him. Aries dropped the façade and fell on the bed, on top of Alexander, giggling lightly.

They pulled the covers over themselves and Alexander held Aries in such a way that even if the parentals busted in on them, they would be alerted in enough time so the parentals wouldn’t see Aries as a pointy eared demon.
