This night I'd awoken,
Some thousand years passed,
In the dead of black Winter,
So proud of my scars.
I lay in the showers,
Of angelic snow,
Awaiting redemption,
So vibrant the glow.
When days became weeks,
My wings had been torn,
I rose from the depths,
A monster reborn.
My motive was clear,
The reason I fell,
God help those who'd hurt me,
I'd make their lives hell.
The moon out was shining,
Igniting the hate,
My heart lying dormant,
And free to create.
Night became day,
My screams became tears,
And lost within chains,
I fell through the years.
After days of this pain,
I entered the gate,
A note was impaled, that read:
'It's too late'.
With anger departing,
I pushed my way through,
And fell to your face,
You said- "I love you".
Embraced in your shadow,
I gazed past the door,
Your body lay lifeless,
Pure red was the floor.
Held safe in your arms,
For hours we cried,
The reason I fell,
Last night you had died.

A/N: This is quite a confusing poem, I know. Basically the female in this
story has passed away recently, and went to heaven. When you talk about a
fallen angel, people usually presume they were evil, but not this angel.
Her boyfriend had committed suicide due to losing her a few days after her
death. He was sentenced to a life in purgatory when he was judged. She
refused to watch him suffer from above, so instead discarded her wings, and
fell down to earth. At the beginning, she was angry and thought she had
been refused entry to heaven, but as her journey progressed, she began to
realise something was wrong.
