MY LIE

There's tear drops
Standing in your ocean eyes
Glistening tracks through the blush
Thinly, and carelessly applied
The blue in your eyes
Turning grey
Your hair disheveled
Black wire
Twisted knots

You wonder why

Gasping, chest falling, rising,
The sobs are clawing at your throat
But who can say the reasons
Who can give reasons that matter
When naked and bruised you come
To the end, seeking answers
That are truly just frail hopes
And broken dreams

There are no answers

That's the final wisdom
And its comforting
Even though it shatters
And enduring
Even though its fleeting
And wisdom
Even though its lies
