For Debbie

The travels done, I’ll say goodbye,

The way I was denied,

Your heart is gone but here I am,

To show the way I cry.

Our times misplaced, and now I grieve,

The way I said I would,

And even though you told me no,

The pain will never leave.

As a dream you travel, noble pure and true,

To a place I’ve never seen,

Beautiful until the end and now;

 Spiritual and new.  

I wish I could believe, we never truly die,

The way she told me to,

Because pain now holds my chest secure,

Forever, say goodbye.
